    Individual Therapy

Individual therapy begins with an intake which involves information gathering on your symptoms and personal background. During this appointment, I will be building my understanding of your current concerns and making sure that you feel heard. You will be asked about your goals for counseling which will guide the development of your individualized treatment plan. I utilize assessments to monitor symptoms and progress in therapy but will also ask for feedback to make sure that therapy is progressing in the needed direction. My primary focus is building a trusting therapeutic relationship that allows you to be honest and authentic with me and with yourself.

    Self-pay rates: $150 for a 50 minute counseling session or $175 for a 90 minute counseling session.

Insurance accepted: Aetna, United Health Care, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford, Carelon Behavioral Health, Quest Behavioral Health, and Anthem EAP for Bank of America. EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence based practice that was initially developed to treat trauma but has been expanded to address a wide variety of concerns. It relies on your brain's natural healing capacity to effectively process trauma and other difficult experiences so that you can move on with your life. EMDR  is a structured treatment modality used within individual therapy sessions. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist which means that I have advanced training in this modality of treatment. EMDR sessions involve recalling memories, experiences, or triggers while engaging in eye movements or another form of bilateral stimulation such as tapping for desensitization so you no longer experience distress.
